In my view, one of the key socio-political challenges is to ensure that scientific findings on climate change are accessible and understandable to policymakers, the industry and the broader public. My interdisciplinary background in communication sciences, earth sciences and climate research enables me to comprehend complex scientific processes and present them in a way that is suited to different target audiences.
As part of the CDRSynTra2 team, I am researching how science communication on carbon dioxide removal (CDR) methods can be applied in climate education. As part of education for sustainable development (Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung, BNE), I aim to develop a simulation game for schools that teaches students about CDR methods early on and empowers them to form their own informed opinions.
